Off Limits

So far the list is, Mangelsen's and Nobbies (of course) and also HyVee, Dodge Street from SaddleCreek to 50th, Bakers, Blockbuster, and now most likely this blog. All places with halloween decorations too scary for my oldest one to go into. This might be a long two weeks.

An Isaac Moment

I just came upstairs from waking Isaac up from a nap by laying down in bed next to him and making up silly stories about all the things he could have been dreaming about...

"You were standing in a purple field, next to a blue horse and you were flying a kite." OR
"Your preschool teachers were line dancing in big country western skirts and yelling out Ye Haw!"

And then Isaac interrupted me:
"Mom, mom, Wait! Make one up about the Lawrence Welk Show. PLEEEEEASE!"

And when I composed myself again:
"You were watching eight men tap dancing in a long line, all wearing orange dress suits with ruffled sea foam green dress shirts and ladies in purple chiffon dresses swaying to the music behind them."

Guys just can't get phone messages right.

Isaac answered the play phone this afternoon.
Apparently he is fielding calls for Ella.
Isaac: "Ella, it's Princess Beauty and her sister Cinderella calling for you."
Ella: no response.

Makes me wanna Cus(pid)

There should be some sort of fundamental law within nature that babies can only get certain teeth in certain quantities. I found this diagram that says when teeth should come through. So far, Ella is at the earliest end of all the monthly ranges for various teeth. She is 15 & 1/2 months today and ALL FOUR cuspid teeth have broken through this week... right between her four giant shiny molars (the ones that always worry me she has something foreign in her mouth) and the rest of her little multiple pearly teeth.

Also, and certainly not to be overlooked, she has gained tremendous confidence this week walking and trying to do stairs alone.

This is not the best week I have ever had.
