An Isaac Moment

I just came upstairs from waking Isaac up from a nap by laying down in bed next to him and making up silly stories about all the things he could have been dreaming about...

"You were standing in a purple field, next to a blue horse and you were flying a kite." OR
"Your preschool teachers were line dancing in big country western skirts and yelling out Ye Haw!"

And then Isaac interrupted me:
"Mom, mom, Wait! Make one up about the Lawrence Welk Show. PLEEEEEASE!"

And when I composed myself again:
"You were watching eight men tap dancing in a long line, all wearing orange dress suits with ruffled sea foam green dress shirts and ladies in purple chiffon dresses swaying to the music behind them."

Aahhh... wow!
I have not exposed my kids (or myself) to Lawrence Welk. (I wonder if they would like it?)
But it does remind me of my childhood fascination with Roger Whitaker.
