Kate drove down to Springfield with Isaac on Saturday to visit the fair. She was helping me out while Nate was in the Quad Cities for a scooter rally over the weekend with about 70 other scooterists from this part of the country. Anyway, they saw 4H displays and an orange tractor! They ate corn dogs on sticks and gallons of lemonade. Then they found an indoor arena with races scheduled for the afternoon. First were childrens races against one another... starting at 6 years of age. After all the kid divisions raced back and forth, it was time for animal races. This however was not animals racing one another, but rather animals (ducks, sheep, rabbits etc.) being released into the arena for children to chase and try to catch for prizes. A perfect idea for entertainment, however, this had one vice.Isaac: "When they let all the little bunnies out of their cages, they just kept stacking on top of each other! They were SO SILLY MOM!"
